Tinelith, a half-elf thief; Benni, a half-orc fighter; Snibb, a gnome wizard; and Bernleough, a human cleric have escaped through the back-roads of southwestern Nyrond in an attempt to avoid capture for Tinelith's theft of government scrolls from a government messenger returning to Rel Mord, the capital of Nyrond. Snibb has been scratched by the thorns of a poisonous plant. As we join the group, they have made it to the town of Beetuin southern Nyrond . . .
